Our Story

Pat founded the firm in 2015 with vision that he could offer high quality big firm service, but in a more direct client facing capacity. Since then we have grown to a team of four who all share the same vision. At Grady & Associates it is guaranteed that a licensed CPA will be working on your taxes because 100% of our staff are CPA's.

Meet The Team

Pat Grady, CPA

Founder and Managing Shareholder

Pat is a Colorado native with family lineage in Denver dating back to the 1800's. He graduated from CU's Leeds School of Business where he was also an All-American on the golf team. Pat brings over 13 years of public accounting experience to the firm. Prior to founding Grady & Associates Pat worked at the nationally ranked CPA firm of Eide Bailly, LLP and before that Latino and Associates, P.C. In his free time Pat enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters as well as exercising and playing sports. CPA.0032150

Nicholas Wood, CPA

Nick is a Texas native, and graduated from Mays Business School at Texas A&M with a BA in Accounting, and a Masters in Finance. He began his career as a Forensic Accountant at Alvarez & Marsal in their Disputes & Investigations group where he worked for four years. During his time at A&M, Nick developed a skillset in financial statement preparation and analysis, business valuations, and expert witness report writing. As an avid skier and backpacker, he moved to Colorado in 2019 to be closer to all the outdoor activities that Colorado has to offer. After moving to Colorado, Nick shifted his focus to the tax and small business bookkeeping industry, where he has been working for the past four years. Nick joined Grady and Associates in 2023.

Peter Christensen, CPA

Peter is an Iowa native who moved to Colorado in 2016. He graduated from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa and began his career out in Colorado after being recruited by Plante Moran (formerly EKS&H). During his eight years at Plante Moran he gained extensive experience working on high net worth individuals as well as multi-state partnerships. In his free time, Peter enjoys traveling, playing golf, skiing, and spending time with his family.

Julie Grady, CPA

Julie has held a CPA license in Colorado for over 30 years. Her claim to fame is that she passed all four CPA exams on the first try while she had three kids at home all under the age of four. Julie owns her own firm but often consults with Grady & Associates on various complex tax situations.
